Worked as a Senior FullStack engineer with migration of website from rails 2.* to 4.*. The project was running some implementation of JRuby, including some compiled java files, we discover some bugs inside the implementation of those during the migration and because of this there were a lot of back and forth. We spend a few months on it, but we got it done with good planning and good communication between different teams.
