Innomaps is a Latin-American based startup that provides business intelligence thorugh data science and maps. We built interactive map tools so entrepreneurs and business can understand their environment when openning their business, distributing their product, managing their sales teams, etc. I cofounded Innomaps with my partner in late 2018. I have been in charge of full-stack development of our web application (NodeJs, Postgres, PWA) and our Machine Learning pipeline (Python, SQL, Google ML). I have the honor to lead a semi-remote team of 2 engineers, 2 graphic designers, 1 marketing operative and 1 accountability/sales operative. Check out our demo maps in: www.inno-maps.com
We developed an electronic voting system using decentralized technologies such as smart contracts and distributed data files (IPFS). I built a web server using Go to take advantages of the native Go-Ethereum features (e.g. automatic smart contract binding). I deployed multiple blockchain nodes in networks like Ethereum, Avalanche and LACChain (Besu client). In the frontend part, I developed the blockchain functionalities of an Ionic application using the Web3.js library. We explored the use of the Moralis library and Ethers.js but we decided to stay with Web3.js due to compatibility, clear documentation and a broad community. In the smart contract section, I built the whole web3 architecture and how frontend/backend connects to the blockchains. I use Solidity (with some OpenZepellin libraries for better security, performance and readibility) and Hardhat environment for testing and deploying.
I founded Innowork on early 2021 to offer friends and customers software development services like website development, application development, data analytics, etc. I work with an incredible graphic designer that helps us portray the customer message. One amazing opportunity I had was to work in a presidential campaign (Yaku Perez, Ecuador 2021) by performing data analytics on social media data and the election results with Python and Postgres. After my work as a Network Coordinator of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth (SDSN Youth), I stayed with the regional organization as their web master / IT support guy. The regional host NGO is Beyond One Foundation. I built their informative website using WordPress and Elementor (a drag-and-drop page builder). I am in charge of managing their cloud infrastructure (website and email) and ocasionally assist them with their reports and dashboards using Google Data Studio (a free alternative to Tableu).
The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth (SDSN Youth) is an international network with the goal of raising awareness, promoting and supporting the 15 Sustainable Development Goals. I lead the Andean region division to expand the network and support local sustainability projects. I learned skills like team leadership, negotiation and reporting, and also grew my contact network to multiple incredible young people around the world. In the technology side, my team and I proposed a sustainable energy workshop session in the World Youth Day in Panama, I learned about Tableau and Google Data Studio, and I built the SDSN Andes website.
